Stratmoor, Colorado, is an unincorporated community located in El Paso County. Its history can be traced back to the late 1800s when settlement began in the region.

The area where Stratmoor is currently situated was once part of a large cattle ranch owned by Joseph W. Stratton, a prominent figure in the development of Colorado Springs. In 1884, Stratton divided his land into small tracts and sold them to settlers, which marked the beginning of the community.

Originally known as Stratton Park, the area quickly attracted farmers who took advantage of the fertile soil to cultivate crops. The arrival of the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad in 1887 further stimulated growth as it provided convenient transportation for agricultural products to markets in Colorado Springs and beyond.
