History
Fair Oaks Ranch is a suburb located in Comal and Bexar counties, Texas. Its history dates back to the mid-1930s when oilman Ralph E. Fair Sr. purchased the land surrounding Cibolo Creek with the intention of creating a residential community.
In 1937, Fair built his own home and ranch on the property and named it "Fair Oaks Ranch." The area attracted other wealthy families who also built homes and ranches in the vicinity. The ranch's main activities included raising racehorses and cattle.
During the 1950s and 1960s, the area experienced some growth, but it wasn't until 1975 that the Fair Oaks Ranch Property Owners Association (FORPOA) was established. FORPOA was responsible for maintaining and promoting the quality of life within the community.
In the following years, the population of Fair Oaks Ranch gradually increased, and the community began to expand.
